About Me
I grew up in Baltimore and studied Philosophy at Columbia University. My writing has appeared in various magazines and newspapers, including the O:The Oprah Magazine and The New York Times Magazine. My first book, ONE DAY THE SOLDIERS CAME: Voices of Children in War, is published in the U.S. by HarperPerennial. My second book, FAR FROM ZION, has just been published in U.S. by William Morrow.
