“Synagogue of Satan”

Stay Classy Billy Graham:

…Graham tells Nixon how Jews befriend him but adds, “They don’t know how I really feel about what they’re doing to this country.”

Read the whole article about Billy Graham’s taped 1973 conversation with Nixon here, filled with fervent “I’m not an anti-Semite” statements and references to “Jews going after the Church.” Anti-Semitism, as usual, makes no sense. Who was doing the plotting here, the Jewish left protesting and organizing openly for peace and civil rights in the streets in 1973, or the two old white men meeting behind closed doors in a paranoid White House?

The Anti-Defamation League responds:

The newly released tapes of remarks made by President Richard M. Nixon reinforce an emerging portrait of a man who was “so deeply infected with anti-Semitism that he was unable to see it, even in himself.
